My husband's favorite drink is Chai Latte - but being a wise man, he only rarely let himself indulge at Starbucks for a cup.  Still, that left him craving and sighing each time he drove by that money-pit!  When a bare-bones recipe presented itself to me, I began playing around with it in the kitchen until he and I had developed a Chai Latte mix that he liked BETTER than Starbuck's! Now he can have it as often as he wishes for a negliable price.

If you are discovering me through the website, you've yet to taste this wonderful concoction.  Here are some quick facts:

• Chai Latte is not a coffee. It is a creamy, sweet, spiced tea that is very popular in India.
• It is much more like hot cocoa than tea in consistancy and creaminess.
• Some call my original recipe “Liquid Pumpkin Pie”.
• It has less sugar than most cans of pop.
• It has fewer carbs than hot cocoa.
• I make it in both the original recipe (sweetened by sugar) and a sugar-free recipe (sweetened by Splenda).

My chai comes in 3 varieties - but only 1 flavor.

• Lovely Chai Latte has all the sugar and caffeine right where it should be.  One quart equals 16 servings at $.60 per serving.
• Decaf Chai Latte has the same exact taste and sweetness as the Lovely Chai, without the 40 miligrams of caffeine.   One quart equals 16 servings at $.60 per serving.
• Splendid Chai Latte has the wonderful taste of my Lovely Chai, with only 8 grams of sugar per serving (from the dried milk in the mix).  It is only availabe caffinated.   One quart equals 17 servings at a cost of $.70 per serving.
