As you have seen, from looking around my website, I am a cloth diapering mom and seamstress. For my sewing business, I began ordering cases of diapers from a wholesaler, and selling off the extra dozens on Ebay - just so my money could earn a living, and not just sit on a supply shelf. From there, customer requests expanded my business into a full cloth diaper supply service - that spilled over into this website. The Lord has blessed our family and blessed my business, allowing me to stay at home with our three young children.
Now, through this Ebaying of diapers, I have been introduced to a missionary couple who has an on-going need for diapers. Lori and Bill Smith have a number of missionary outreaches in Papau New Guinea, but the one that has touched my heart is their clinic. They are a stop-gap for the people of PNG, stepping up to meet medical needs when the hospital turns patients away. Here are several excerpts from her recent newsletters, to give you a feeling for what they do (those portions that sound personal were not written to me - but shared with my by those they were intended for):
We had another opportunity to ministry again to a family with very seriously ill twin newborns. They came from the area where Amo was born. They were turned away at the hospital due to lack of space, though the babies are still really sick. What a joy that we did not have to turn them down at our clinic. Both babies were treated, cuddled, swaddled in new warm blankets and clothes and kissed all over before returning to their village. Mom just had a dropped open mouth...shock...that we pray will be a direct open door to the depth of her heart when she returns for their follow up appointment.

Some sad situations, though that continue to need prayer. Once again we had three women that came seeking to end the life of their precious unborn. On a great happy side, though I truly feel that God is at work to encourage these ladies to really see the miracle of life He is weaving inside their wombs.
One lady, so very strongly desiring to abort, came just after a lovely little baby girl made her loud and lusty entrance into this world at the clinic. A beautiful, fat precious pink bundle of joy she was to be sure. PERFECT! The pregnant lady was the next patient right after the mom and newborn were cared for and resting. I just brought that lady the precious little baby girl, putting her in the arms of this woman wanting to kill her own precious baby. Asking if she would kill this little girl, the woman was just aghast at the thought...then taking her to the next room and showing her the precious little one inside her womb I asked...what is the difference besides sheer size? Teary eyes and no verbal answer told me all I needed to know!! What a great opportunity...God's timing was perfect!

I am perpetually collecting donations and send packages to this missionary couple - specifically, diapering supplies. I figure that the Lord has blessed me with wholesale connections for diapering, so it is only fitting that I use those connections to spread his blessings.
There is ZERO profit being made on this - all donations will go to purchase diapers & supplies at the wholesale cost, and I cover the shipping out of my own pocket (as my portion).
I send the best unbleached prefolds, good quality diaper pins and inexpensive, but effective plastic pants.
Baby cloths, blankets, formula, and other baby supplies are also needed. Any of these that I receive in the mail will be packed right in with the diapering supplies and sent on their way!
I'm hoping the response will completely outstrip my supplies and bankrupt me on the postage expense!!
